John Lavall is an EMMY Award winning producer and director from Providence, Rhode Island. His work has been broadcast and shown in film festivals throughout the country. His company Devlo Media produces commercials, narrative features, and documentary films, and most recently produced Big World, Small World, a film shot in Ghana, West Africa, about a community-based school that highlights the work of international social entrepreneurs. Current projects include a documentary on Eritrean refugees and their journey to the United States, and a feature-length film, “...a thousand papercuts, “about Rhode Island’s fight to protect their waterways and public safety from the proposed placement of liquefied natural gas terminals within the state.
